Our goal: Improve safety and accesiblity for all residents of Summergrove
It belongs to the community
Since our neighborhood's inception, a community space was desginated along the entire Eastlake side of our beautiful lake. Inside that space a Pedestrain Easement was platted to create a continuous walking trail for Eastlake and Summergrove residents. Some of that easement is currently paved for accessiblity. Some parts of the pedestrian easment are currently unpaved.
It should be recognizable as community space
Currently, some prime lakefront portions of this space have the appearance of private property. This is land that belongs to all residents of Summergrove. It includes prime fishing spots, bird watching, natural beauty and an unmarked pedestrain easement. It should be recognizable as community space so all residents feel comfortable enjoying the space.
It should be accessible for all residents
Currently, some portions of the space and the pedestrain easement are difficult to access. Recent culvert construction by the association created this difficulty to access. Access should be improved so all residents are safely able to enjoy the space. The current unpaved portions of the pedestrain easement should be paved to match existing pavement.
Finishing the trail will allow residents to use the space as it was intended.
Finishing the trail will improve safety allowing for walking, riding, and running continuously out of traffic from the west side of Summergrove all the way past the Eastlake pool.
